  • Individual exhibition: «Fin de Juego», Galería Botello, San Juan. Writes an artist statement for the catalogue.
  • Paints «Taller». Changes materials to Oil Primer, pigment Old Holland (Lakes, Phthalo and Prussian Blues, Phthalo Green, Zinc White and Alizarin Crimson), Venice Turpentine and Sun Thickened Linseed Oil.
  • Participates in «Inundaciones», Centre de Cultura Contemporània of Barcelona, El cuarto del Quenepón.
  • Becomes founding member of Quenepón Inc., with a Board of Directors that include Rosa Irigoyen, Pedro Reina, Chiara Merino, Yrsa Dávila, Marina Rivera and Dorian Lugo. Quenepón re-opens, the e-zine becomes a non-profit organization.
  • Work included in Print Portfolio «Ciudad Infinita», San Juan.

  • Writes essay «Pintar Debajo del Piso», from April to July. Journal documenting the painting «Penthouse».
  • Study travels to Los Angeles and New York City.
  • Second Honorable Mention, «Balcón» and «Patio» 34ème Festival Internacional de la Peinture, Chateau-Musee Grimaldi, de Cagnes-sur-Mer, Cote d'Azur, France.
  • Becomes the Department Chair of Painting, Escuela de Artes Plásticas de Puerto Rico, until resigning in 2003. She develops a visiting professors conference series, promotes curriculum revision, and invite Dr. Elaine King for "Master's Critic session with students", practice that continues in the art school presently.
  • Participates in «Pulpa» (e-zines and cultural print magazines), Centro Wifredo Lam, La Habana, Cuba, with «El cuarto del Quenepón».

2003

  • Finish paintings «Se amarró» and «Currents».
  • Unable to work on the next painting she writes her theorical ideas in essay «La Artista Technicolor» from July to August.
  • Publishes essay «La Artista Technicolor» as main feature in Revista Domingo, El Nuevo Día newspaper, August 3, Puerto Rico. A complete version of this essay was published at the e-zine El cuarto del Quenepón, August 10.
  • Starts working on «Colors (to Donna Summer)». Works with Dupont's Bike pigment, Old Holland's Vermillion, Madder, Carmin pigments, the mediums of Wax and Essence of Turpertine, and industrial textiles.
  • Study-travel with fellow painter Enrique Renta to London and New York.
  • Participates in the followings exhibitions: «De Lo Que Soy/Of What I Am», Lehman College Art Gallery, Bronx, New York; «Muestra Nacional de Arte Puertorriqueño», Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña, San Juan; and «Only Skin Deep», curator Coco Fusco, Online Exhibition, International Center of Photography, NYC, New York, 2003-04.

  • Finish painting «Colors (to Donna Summer)». Start working on sketch for «Pink (To Monroe)» on May. Starts working with wood specialist and Art Conservator Cesar Piñero. Takes 9 months to finish it, with helps of intership of student Axel Ruíz. Sketch gets publish on cover of Foro, El Nuevo Día newspaper, October 31.

  • Takes the seminar «David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies & Puerto Rico Winter Institute», directed by Prof.Doris Summer, Harvard University, Universidad de Puerto Rico (UPR), Centro de Estudios Avanzados de Puerto Rico y el Caribe (CEA) and Escuela de Artes Plásticas (EAP), San Juan. Three-week seminar focus on "Culture at the Crossroads", given by professors Davíd Carrasco, Juan Flores, Arq. Enrique Vivoni, James Lorand Matory, Angel Quintero-Rivera and Thomas Cummins.
  • Publishes article «Últimos Días del ICP», Revista Por Dentro, El Nuevo Día newspaper, June 19.
  • After finishing painting «Pink (To Monroe)», starts working with «Enable Blue». Final drawing's measurements done with the assistance of artist Tony Cruz at O'Neill's studio walls.

The objectives are to give professional experience to students, as well as career advancements to faculty and strengthen the economical structure of the art school.
  • Participates in Faculty Committee for Lobbying for better salaries at Puerto Rico's Legislature (R. del S. 898), for the Escuela de Artes Plásticas de Puerto Rico.

  • Start working as the first Art Director at the Centro de Diseño de la Escuela de Artes Plásticas de Puerto Rico. Stay until early August 2007. Established web accessibility design including daltonism colour studies. Among clients under her Art Direction where: web page for «Lee y Sueña»; braille brochure for Galería Nacional of Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña; Escuela de Artes Plásticas's newsletter «Artefacto» and intitutional aplications; Festivities Dinner Plates for Walmart; and logo and promotional map for recreational park «Punto Verde».
  • Takes the seminar «Deconstrucciones, psicoanálisis y teoría queer», Programa de Estudios de la Mujer y el Género, Departamento de Ciencias Sociales de la Facultad de Estudios Generales, Universidad de Puerto Rico (UPR), Río Piedras. The three-day seminar on «Derriladacan: contigüidades sintomáticas», «El banquete uniqueersitario: Disquisiciones sobre el s(ab)er queer», and «El internauta desnudo: la autoimagen pornográfica en el imaginario yoico» given by Philosophy professor Francisco Vidarte, from the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (Spain).
  • Part of the Escuela de Artes Plásticas de Puerto Rico's committee for the «Periodic Review Report», a reaccreditation's process of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
  • Participates on Guided Tour «Autocontemplación», Museo de Historia, Antropología y Arte, Universidad de Puerto Rico, Recinto de Río Piedras.
  • Starts working on print «Enable Blue (flat mode)» for portfolio of Museo de Arte de Ponce, «Círculo de las Artes» the MAP's Program, which includes artists Charles Juhasz, Antonio Martorell, Arnaldo Roche Rabell, Melquíades Rosario, Jaime Suárez, Rafael Trelles, Víctor Vázquez, among others. The artist's proposal is a print artwork using commercial printing (Elmendorf), base on painting «Enable Blue». The artist uses Pantone Metallic Integrated Process Color (Silver and Gold) to produce a limited print edition on Warren Lustro Dull (100lb, cover, 8" x 12") and American Lumiart (70lb, text). This is a five passes printing process. The images area is 4.75 x 6.7/8 inch (bleed), that is glue (conservation tape) only the top corners to the Warren Lustro Dull. Historical references are: Donald Judd and Yves Klein, especially the latest's «Peintures» (1954).
  • Artist's work «It’s to me» (1989), is published on cover of Literature Journal «Katatay», Argentina (La Plata, ISSN 1669-3868).
  • Intervened on book with cuting in half and enclosure it with blue plastic dip, by invitation of editor Prof. Dorian Lugo, where 300 artists have intervened in different «Saqueo» books .
  • Participates on Round Table «Muestra Nacional de Arte», Salas de Arte de la Universidad del Sagrado Corazón.

2007

  • Mid career exhibition: «Artist Interrupted: From Post to After», Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico, San Juan. Guest-curate by Dr. Elaine King, a professor of the history of art and theory at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
  • O'Neill its invited to be one of the founding members of the «Docomomo», Chapter of Puerto Rico.
  • Partcipates in Paco Colo's «Pulpo», at Galería Nacional, Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña (ICP). Colo ideas where to create an oversize artist book project matching up around 25 artists and writers. O'Neill collaborated with poet Liliana Ramos.
  • Start working in a colaborative piece with architect Andres Mignucci Giannon. They both get accepted to finish it on site, at Art and Arquitecture Residency at Centro Cultural Casapoli, Chile, for 2008.
  • Lectures at Escuela de Arquitectura, Universidad de Puerto Rico and Nueva Escuela de Arquitectura, Universidad Politécnica de Puerto Rico.
  • Start teaching at postgraduate school Centro de Estudios Avanzado, Puerto Rico.
